Coral vs AgentPeek: your agents on your iPhone too

Coral and AgentPeek both put coding agents in your Mac’s notch. Only Coral follows you to your iPhone, reaches your servers, and has a Free plan with no end.

Updated

Pick Coral if you ever step away from your Mac. Both apps put your coding agents in the notch, but AgentPeek stops at the edge of your desk: it has no iPhone app, so an agent that asks for permission while you’re out just waits. Coral sends that question to your iPhone, lets you answer with Face ID, adds agents on your SSH servers, and starts with a Free plan that never ends.

As of October 2026, here’s how they compare. AgentPeek ships often, so check agentpeek.app for the latest.

Why developers pick Coral

  • Your agents follow you. When an agent asks for permission or finishes, your iPhone gets a push, and Apple Watch shows it too. Open any agent to read its whole conversation. AgentPeek runs on the Mac only, so leaving the desk means leaving your agents.
  • Answer from anywhere. Tap an answer on your iPhone and confirm with Face ID. On Free, it waits on your Mac until you press Return there. On Pro, it reaches the agent right away, and you see when it’s delivered. You can also message agents and start new ones from your phone, with photos and voice.
  • Your servers, in the same notch. With Pro, agents on Linux servers, other Macs over SSH and dev containers show up next to your local ones. Turn on Reach my iPhone when my Mac sleeps and a Linux server’s agent can still reach you after the Mac goes to sleep. See Servers.
  • Free means free. The notch, one-key answers, iPhone and Apple Watch alerts, usage and 24 hours of history cost nothing, with no trial clock. AgentPeek is paid after 3 days.
  • Built to be safe on a phone. Phone messages are end-to-end encrypted, and every answer is signed with a key in the iPhone’s Secure Enclave that Face ID protects. Your Mac accepts each answer once, within 2 minutes. The relay deletes each message once it’s delivered. No account, no analytics. See Privacy and security.
  • Pro for long runs. Baton for overnight tasks, approval rules that never cover rm -rf or a force push, Brief, full History and search, Stay Awake and Watchdog. See Features.

Coral also tells your iPhone whether your Mac is awake, asleep or offline, so silence means something. It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and has a menu-bar mode for an external display.

Where AgentPeek fits

AgentPeek is a good Mac-only dashboard if you never leave your desk.

  • A long agent list. Its site says it recognizes 26 coding agents, with a support level for each: some answer in the notch, some you only see, and a few are view-only. If your main agent is one Coral doesn’t list, like Cursor, Kiro or Goose, look at AgentPeek.
  • Usage history. Token and cost charts, an activity calendar and streaks. Coral shows what’s left of each plan and when it runs out, not your history.
  • More dashboard. A setup Doctor, local dev servers, saved shell commands, floating widgets and an Agent Board.
  • One small payment. $14.99 once for one Mac, if you know you’ll only ever use it at your desk.
